I’m a backend software engineer at F5, based in Brooklyn. I build Go microservices for F5 Distributed Cloud, with experience in API design, authentication, service integrations, and Kubernetes-based infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
I enjoy the puzzle-solving side of engineering: understanding how services interact, tracking down performance bottlenecks, and figuring out how the pieces fit together. My work spans customer-support systems, tenant lifecycle operations, and identity-provider integrations, from technical research and proof of concept through production delivery.
Outside of work, I turn found objects into lamps and built Light Me Up, an app for blueprinting how a lamp would actually come together.

OCT 2024 — PRESENT
Software Engineer II · F5
Build backend services in Go for F5 Distributed Cloud, focusing on performance, authentication, and tenant lifecycle operations. Reduced support page load times from roughly 20 seconds to 2 and user-disable latency from roughly 12 seconds to 1. Lead technical research and implementation across identity-provider evaluations, tenant-deletion workflows, and vulnerability remediation supporting FedRAMP compliance.

AUG 2023 — OCT 2024
Software Engineer · F5
Delivered a customer-support platform migration from Zendesk to Salesforce across thousands of tenants. Built the initial proof of concept, co-designed the architecture, and developed the production solution alongside internal teams and consulting partners. Built and operated Go microservices backed by etcd across AWS and GCP.

Software Engineer Intern · F5
Developed REST APIs in Go for NGINX Controller’s API Management product. Expanded unit-test coverage and improved core product code.
SEP 2021 — JUN 2022
Data Science Fellow · Cal Poly
Collaborated with faculty on data science research and taught fundamentals to university and high-school students, making technical concepts approachable through hands-on learning.
JUN — AUG 2021
Data Analyst Intern · Expedia Group
Built a Python, SQL, and Spark pipeline powering a Tableau dashboard for the Customer Engagement team. Used time-series analysis to investigate outcomes and communicated findings and design decisions to stakeholders.

Tableau Student Ambassador · Tableau
Organized and led workshops helping Cal Poly students analyze and visualize data with Tableau. Connected students with Tableau’s tools and community.
Building an app for blueprinting how a lamp would actually come together from a found object. Arrange measured components, explore the interior, and save different designs before committing to a physical build.
Started with a challenge from my own lamp projects: getting an idea out of my head and figuring out how to make it real.

The Door Knob Lamp
What would be a fun way to turn a lamp on? The burning question in my mind. That's what drove me to wonder how you'd use a door knob as the switch. Scrolling on facebook marketplace brought me to the vintage "New York Public Schools" door knob, and I knew that had to be the centerpiece. With a spare wine box that I had lying around, just waiting to be wired and bulbed, it came together fast.
The challenge was understanding how to get the door knob to control the flow of electricity. The door knob handle was too small for the metal rotary knob I bought to fit into it. But that was no match for the manual labor of sanding down the rotary knob by hand. Eventually, the two pieces came together perfectly
